Cryolipolysis treatment procedure

Cryolipolysis therapy takes about 1 hour. During the cold application, the unwanted fatty tissue is cooled down in a controlled manner. The effect of the cold leads to crystallization of the fat cells, which are then destroyed in a targeted manner. Surrounding tissue such as muscles, nerves and skin are not affected. During the treatment, the skin is monitored with a special sensor to guarantee a safe and stable treatment. At Medical Beauty Park, we work with the innovative device from the Swiss manufacturer Cryomed®.

After the cryolipolysis treatment

After cryolipolysis, you can go about your normal activities unhindered. There is therefore no downtime. Over the next 2-3 months, the dead fat cells are broken down by the body. The final result of the fat reduction is now visible. Cryolipolysis is able to achieve a fat reduction of 20-30%. However, the treatment not only leads to fat reduction, but also to a tightening of the subcutaneous tissue. For even better results, cryolipolysis can be combined with endermologie.

Whether you want to lose fat on your stomach, hips, thighs or upper arms, cold treatment is the ideal method for this. If you are very overweight, cryolipolysis is not suitable and will not produce the desired result.

Frequently asked questions about cryolipolysis

What is cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis is a non-surgical fat reduction procedure that uses targeted cooling of fat cells to break them down without damaging the surrounding skin. Approximately 20 – 25 percent of the fat tissue in the treated areas can be reduced with one treatment.

How does cryolipolysis work?

The treatment area is sucked in with an applicator using a vacuum. The cooling panels in the applicator bring the fat cells (adipocytes) to a low temperature through controlled cooling. This causes the fat cells to crystallize and gradually break down, while the surrounding tissue remains intact.

Who is cryolipolysis suitable for?

Cryolipolysis offers a suitable solution for healthy individuals who want to reduce localized fat deposits. The benefits of this method are available to both women and men, and due to its gentle nature, it can also be used by older people. Cryolipolysis is not suitable for people who are severely overweight, pregnant women or people with heart, kidney or liver disease.

Which areas can be treated with cryolipolysis?

Typical treatment areas for cryolipolysis are the stomach, waist, thighs, hips, back and double chin. The procedure can be used on various areas of the body where stubborn fat deposits are present.

Is cryolipolysis painful?

Cryolipolysis is generally perceived as painless. At the beginning of the treatment, the intense cold in the treated area may cause a slight pulling or pricking sensation, which can be briefly unpleasant for some clients. After around ten minutes, this sensation subsides as the affected area is anaesthetized by the cold. Overall, cryolipolysis is well tolerated and easy to endure.

How long does a cryolipolysis treatment take?

The duration of a cryolipolysis treatment varies depending on the areas to be treated and the number of applications required. As a rule, the treatment lasts approx. 60 minutes.

When are results visible after a cryolipolysis treatment?

The results of cryolipolysis are not immediately visible, as the body needs a few weeks to metabolize and eliminate the broken down fat cells. However, most clients see a visible reduction in fat deposits within two to three months of treatment.
